The news came to her desk almost immediately after the cad alert came in. One of the patrol officers placed down a report with the Directors name upon it. Anastasia looked at it, her demeanor changed quickly. Volkhardt was sitting in the other office, sipping at his coffee and reading HR complaints with a scowl look upon his face.

“Volkhardt….” Ana approached the man, she hadn’t bothered knocking on the door before she placed the report down in front of him, her fingers intertwining with each other. The German man, huffed, unknowingly of the situation before he looked up from the complaint he had received upon one of the detectives.

“Vat is it Ana?” A brow furrowed when he caught his eye with hers. That scowl seemed to fade for a moment, but he still kept a firm neutral appearance. He placed the complaint report down and took the report from the female detective. Opening it up, his eye scanned the info and looked through the pictures of the scene. “How did zis happen...Ve just saw her.” Ana kept a firm look upon her face, even though deep down her heart ached. She shrugged slowly, it was clear by the trained eye that this bothered her greatly. The Ex-doctor would recognize it. The brunette furrowed her brows as she tapped on one of the scene pictures.

“This location is one of the main locations Wonder Crew always took people. Its where they took Juilette Pierce and Cavor Arnom. Juilette was supposed to kill Arnom there. It’s like I can’t escape this shit, them. I left this case in what I thought was good hands but look at where this went. She’s dead because I didn’t put them behind bars. And Nate failed to do so as well.” There was a building anger growing in the short woman as she spoke.

“They should have finished the case, that lot should be in jail.” The frustration boiled over finally as Volkhardt placed the report down, not even jumping when Ana had slammed her hand down on the desk. “We need to get them behind bars; this is the 13th murder that they have committed.”

She wasn’t even going to wait for the evidence to lead back to them, why else would the department head be dead? It was one way to make sure Ana was at the top, busy and couldn’t focus on other things other than the department. She turned away from the man who slowly rose from his seat. Again, saying nothing, just simply watching. Ana shrugged her shoulders, forcing her anger down, bottling it up like she always did before she left the office and went back to her own.
